Special Joint Meeting for the selection of nominees for the District Court Judicial Vacancy occasioned by the resignation of the Honorable Marcus A. Shields will be held at 3:00 pm on October 26, 2022 at the High Point Country Club. If you do not live in Guilford County, you cannot vote. The High Point Bar Association has awarded a total of $20,000 to eight local non-profit agencies and organizations. This is the fifth year of community giving by the High Point Bar Association. The name of the committee within the HPBA, though, has recently been amended to the High Point Bar Association’s Mittie Smith Charitable Contributions Committee. Thus, we honor our founding member who seized the initiative to create this committee; thereby embodying her, and our, commitment to give back to the community we serve.
